Caesar’s Camp offers not only fantastic walking opportunities, but the views are stunning.

Located in Aldershot, it sits on the border with Farnham, giving visitors an opportunity to see both the Surrey and Hampshire landscape for miles.

High-rise buildings in neighbouring towns and the runway at Farnborough Airport can be seen from the viewpoint at the top of the hill.

As army training land, large areas are fenced off by the Ministry of Defence and these are clearly signed. So it is important that anyone exploring the area follow the signs.

Consisting of a nature reserve, sandy hills, pinewoods, meadow and heathland, it’s a haven for wildlife.

There are dozens of walks to discover with one particular circular route that combines Bourley Lakes and Rowhill Nature Reserve.

The 8km (5 mile) walk begins at the car park Rowhill Nature Reserve (postcode – GU11 3BD).

There is also limited space for around 10 cars at Bourley Road car park if you wanted to start your hike at Bourley Lakes (postcode – GU52 8AD).

Suitable for children and dogs, there are no facilities on site, so if you’re planning on spending a few hours exploring, it is advised to bring a picnic or some snacks.
